Introduction to Biology: The Living World (BIO 100) reflects that approach. Offered online through Universal Learner Courses, BIO 100 is a college-level biology course taught by ASU faculty and delivered through BioBeyond, ASU’s interactive biology learning environment. Instead of focusing on memorization alone, learners explore biological systems through virtual labs, data analysis and inquiry-based activities.
Anyone can enroll for $25, complete the full course and decide afterward whether adding official ASU credit for $400 supports their goals. Some learners take the course for scientific literacy and curiosity. Others use it to prepare for future study. Both uses are intentional.
