New ASU+GSV Innovation Learning Lab launches certification series for the AI-powered workplace

What if AI fluency becomes as fundamental as knowing how to send an email or write a document?

That future isn’t five years away—it’s already here. The demand for AI literacy is reshaping the rules of leadership, collaboration and day-to-day productivity. The only question is: who’s prepared?

To help professionals get there faster, Arizona State University and GSV Ventures have teamed up to launch the ASU+GSV Innovation Learning Lab, that helps people go from curious to capable in the age of artificial intelligence.

The full series includes a range of short, stackable courses that help individuals build critical skills for a future shaped by AI. Whether someone is a team leader, an educator, a creative or navigating a career shift, the series makes it possible to learn on your schedule—and apply what you learn right away.

“We built the ASU+GSV Innovation Learning Lab to meet the moment—and to meet learners where they are,” said Kim Merritt, vice president at ASU’s Learning Enterprise who is leading an info session with GSV collaborators at the ASU+GSV Summit this week in San Diego, California. “Whether you’re looking to sharpen your career or shift it entirely, this is about giving people the tools to thrive in a world shaped by AI.”

Creating an ecosystem for AI literacy

The ASU+GSV Innovation Learning Lab is designed to grow alongside learners’ needs and the pace of workplace transformation. Each course in the series will focus on specific, high-impact applications of AI—delivered in a way that’s flexible, affordable and actionable. The courses as part of this inaugural launch include:

1. AI Leadership Lab: Empowering Decision-Makers to Lead with AI
   This high level interactive experience equips leaders with the strategic insight and tools needed to navigate the evolving AI landscape. Learn how to make informed decisions about AI integration, foster innovation, and build ethical frameworks that drive organizational success. 4. Generative AI in Action: Workplace Transformation by ASU+GSV
   See how generative AI is revolutionizing the workplace. This course will explore case studies and best practices for integrating AI into workflows, driving productivity, and enhancing creativity. Learn how organizations are using AI to upskill teams and transform operations for the future of work.
   
5. AI-Driven Learning Analytics for Workforce by ASU+GSV
   Discover how AI is transforming workforce development and organizational learning. This course explores how AI and learning analytics can enhance employee engagement, drive performance, and inform strategic talent decisions. Through real-world case studies and hands-on applications, you’ll learn to integrate AI into workforce learning while ensuring ethical and responsible implementation.
